We are pleased to announce that Global Land Alliance has joined the PLACE Community as the first PLACE Founding Member..

. GLA’s mission to enable the #sustainable prosperity of people and places by advancing learning & practice of land governance using local knowledge aligns directly with PLACE’s work collecting mapping imagery in collaboration w/ government to support impactful use cases, products & solutions. PLACE support a network of members utilize #PLACEData and knowledge sharing to advance their work – such as GLA’s work to achieve healthy relationships with land, life & natural resources, emphasizing local and #Indigenous knowledge.

“Global Land Alliance is proud to be the first founding member of PLACE and to further strengthen our collaborations in support of community-based rights and recognition. We look forward to using the PLACE image-based geospatial data to develop use cases with our GLA Alliance partners to advance land tenure security, improve territorial land use, and strengthen land governance with this innovative approach to data collection.” -@Kevin Barthel, Director of Programs at Global Land Alliance
