Prindex
Prindex is a joint initiative of the Global Land Alliance and Overseas Development Institute with staff from both organizations working on the project alongside expert consultants. Our growing global dataset measures perceptions of property security. We survey perceptions of a representative sample of citizens, not only heads of household. In 2018, we collected data from 33 countries to build the first truly global, comparable measure of property security; we plan to cover over 100 countries by 2019.
Land Administration
Global Land Alliance’s Land Administration Program builds upon this extensive and long-term global experience to provide, through our staff, associated consultants and Global Alliance Partners, widely considered global practice leaders, innovative and progressive technical assistance and advisory services in the conceptualization, design, technical and operational oversight of land administration and land tenure projects.
Community-Based Resource Management
Global Land Alliance’s Community Based-Forest Management program supports the prosperity of people living in forest areas and ensuring the long-term sustainability of forest ecosystems. Global Land Alliance developed an analytical and assessment framework for forest tenure for the World Bank, which is currently being piloted, and a new initiative to quantify the benefits of forest tenure reform, the "tenure dividend", under development with partners from The Nature Conservancy and McGill University.
Center For Community Land Trust Innovation
The Center was founded to raise the international profile of the CLT and related models of community-led development on community-owned land, while supporting their incubation in regions and countries where CLTs are in their infancy or unknown. Community-led development on community-owned land is the strategy of equitable and sustainable development long championed by CLTs. The Center is fostering new ways of conceptualizing, structuring, and applying the CLT model.
